Vanlife isn’t one-size-fits-all. Over the years, I’ve met travelers in just about every type of setup imaginable. Some have converted old cargo vans with their own hands, learning carpentry and solar installs along the way (just like I did). Others travel in high-end RVs with every comfort of home. Some live out of SUVs, sedans, or even motorcycles, proving that this lifestyle isn’t about the vehicle—it’s about the freedom.
I’ve camped alongside touring musicians in their buses, backpackers who hitchhike across the country, and people who take seasonal road trips before returning to their brick-and-mortar homes. Every journey is different, but we all share the same love for the open road, the connection to nature, and the freedom to wake up wherever we choose.
